The Maritime Solution Systems (MSS) Portfolio within the Maritime Systems Division (MSD) is seeking a Project Manager to join the Leidos team in Lynnwood, WA to support the development of innovative and next generation Navy equipment.  The scope of the business activities within the MSS portfolio includes: underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, supporting information technology & engineering services for complex maritime applications, development and support of underwater data acquisition and telemetry systems for distributed sensors for platform signature measurement.

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting a Senior Program Manager in the leadership, execution, development, and growth of a programs.  The Project Manager will be working with a multi-disciplined team of mechanical, software, electrical, and systems engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others. The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting with the planning, executing, and coordinating of one or more projects that may include advanced concept and prototype development, procurement, manufacturing, and fielding of cutting-edge maritime technology.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplined team to identify and support customer requirements with innovative, cost-effective, reliable solutions in support of U.S. Department of Defense programs.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Organize and prepare for daily, weekly, and ad hoc meetings, to include development of agendas, meeting minutes, CDRLs, and action items.
  • Support the Senior Program Manager for execution of a program of complex, high-reliability ocean hardware/software systems within an ISO 90001 environment.
  • Support the Senior Program Manager in program and business-wide financial, schedule, and staff planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • Independent, self-starter with ability to support team leadership, and establish strong, collaborative working relationships with government customers, technical staff, senior managers, and peers.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ total experience.
  • Basic project management skills or demonstrable corollary aptitudes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Requires current Secret clearance
  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD contracts and/or DoD missions.
  • Experience in operating, designing, or managing in a maritime environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing and defined deliverable programs.
  • Experience with project management basics, such as developing a schedule.
  • CAPM or PMP

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
