Remote QA Automation Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Playwright-based automation frameworks. Perform functional, regression, smoke, end-to-end, integration, and API testing using JavaScript/TypeScript and tools like Postman or REST Assured. Integrate tests with CI/CD, validate integrations, convert requirements to automated test cases, and track defects with Jira/Azure DevOps while collaborating with technical and business teams.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Playwright automation, API testing, integration testing, and excellent communication skills. The candidate should be able to build and maintain automation frameworks, validate end-to-end business workflows, and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, end-to-end, integration, and API testing.
- Automate web application test scenarios using JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Validate integration points between applications, services, APIs, and third-party systems.
- Create and execute API test cases using tools such as Postman, Playwright API, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Verify request/response payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, error handling, and data validation.
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines. .
- Convert business requirements into clear test scenarios and automated test cases.
- Log, track, and communicate defects clearly using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in QA automation testing (5+ years).
- Hands-on expertise with Playwright or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with API testing and RESTful services.
- Good understanding of integration testing across systems, services, and applications.
- Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and STLC.
Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with product owners, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and business users.
- Strong ability to understand business processes, workflows, and system behavior.
- Experience reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and requirement documents.
- Ability to ask clarifying questions, identify gaps, and support requirement discussions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive QA automation resource who can take ownership of automation, API, and integration testing activities while ensuring that delivered functionality meets both technical requirements and business expectations.
