Overview

We are seeking a motivated QA Engineer to support testing efforts for our IBM Verify (IAM) platform. This role is ideal for a manual tester who is passionate about quality and interested in growing into test automation over time.

You will work closely with product managers, developers, and identity engineers to ensure secure, reliable authentication and access management solutions across internal and customer-facing applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for IAM workflows powered by IBM Verify
  • Validate authentication, authorization, MFA, and identity federation scenarios
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across web and API layers
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand requirements and identify test coverage gaps
  • Document test results, defects, and provide clear reproduction steps
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to QA planning activities
  • Support testing of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), role-based access controls (RBAC), and identity provider integrations
  • Assist in building and maintaining test data and test environments
  • Gradually contribute to automation efforts (API/UI test automation) as skills develop
Required Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing
  • Strong experience with manual testing methodologies
  • Understanding of web applications, APIs, and system integrations
  • Basic knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts such as SSO, MFA, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to IBM Verify, Auth0, Okta, or similar IAM platforms
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Introductory knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or RestAssured
  • Experience in regulated environments like finance, healthcare, or government
