Quality Assurance Analyst - Subject Matter Expert.

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a Quality Assurance Analyst. The Quality Assurance Analyst serves as the GSMO subject matter expert for quality assurance, developing and maintaining the organization's Quality Assurance Program and overseeing internal controls and audit remediation efforts.

Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

 

What will you do

The Quality Assurance Analyst serves as the GSMO subject matter expert for quality assurance, developing and maintaining the organization's Quality Assurance Program and overseeing internal controls and audit remediation efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop and maintain a Quality Assurance Program for the organization, including conducting quality review inspections and developing internal review checklists.

·         Oversee the Air Force Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) program and ensure internal controls are in place and effective.

·         Conduct evaluations, trend analyses, and audits across the organization; identify process deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to leadership.

·         Oversee deficiency reporting, root-cause analysis, and follow-up corrective action plans.

·         Serve as the Trusted Agent Security Officer for the organization.

·         Provide guidance on compliance requirements and quality standards; coordinate with higher headquarters, functional experts, and external agencies during inspections, evaluations, and special assessments.

·         Identify and report on trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

·         Serves as a subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of business and/or financial operations occupations.

·         Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

·         Bachelor's degree in a field related to the tasking (e.g., finance, accounting, business administration, or related discipline).

·         Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC); must meet background investigation requirements to access controlled unclassified information (CUI) and DoD facilities.

·         Working knowledge of the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and DAFI 65-series regulations.

·         Required systems experience: Working knowledge of DoD financial management systems supporting pay and travel (e.g., DEAMS, DTS, WebDMO) sufficient to evaluate process compliance and quality; and experience with audit and internal control documentation and reporting tools.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Direct U.S. Air Force (USAF) quality assurance, internal controls, or FIAR experience is strongly preferred and considered the most valuable form of related experience.

·         Prior appointment as a Trusted Agent Security Officer or similar role.

·         Experience supporting financial audits, evaluations, and corrective action management within a DoD or USSF environment.

 

Work Authorization/ Clearance:

·         Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC); must meet background investigation requirements to access controlled unclassified information (CUI) and DoD facilities.
