About The Job:
What You Will Be Doing:
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to identify quality risks early and define appropriate test coverage.
- Design and maintain high-quality, reusable test plans and cases, applying AI-based test optimization or clustering techniques where applicable.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing across web, API, and database layers.
- Participate actively in requirement and design reviews (Shift-Left) to prevent defects before development.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts in collaboration with the automation team, incorporating AI-enhanced frameworks for smarter test selection and fast delivery.
- Validate APIs, integrations, and business rules using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Track and manage defects in systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira, ensuring clear severity and priority assignment.
- Contribute to continuous testing and DevOps QA gates as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, Developers, BAs) to align quality objectives.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality excellence across teams.
- Support the creation of test documentation and quality dashboards for stakeholder reporting.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect lifecycle, and QE best practices.
- Hands-on experience with manual, automation and API testing, and knowledge of SQL-based validation.
- Working experience with test management and collaboration tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Katalon) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Understanding of Shift-Left testing, test data management, and AI-assisted test generation is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environment and participate in sprint ceremonies.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying quality risks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative, able to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for short-term project engagements if required.
