Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Quality has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Systems Specialist 4 to join our Leadership Development team based in Everett, WA with alternate location in Tukwila, WA.
The ideal candidate must be open to working in both locations as required.
This position will focus on employee engagement, including facilitating workshops. This team focuses on enhancing the quality function and improving quality culture within Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Candidates who are passionate about continuing education, leadership theories, organizational culture, and change management are encouraged to apply.
The selected candidate will regularly contribute to the development of new processes, techniques, and standards, ensuring solutions are consistent with organization objectives. They will be recognized as subject matter expert within the Quality department/organization. They will be motivated and skilled in leading culture change with an ability to modify approaches and styles appropriate for the audience and situation. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Operations-minded individuals.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, and partners
  • Facilitates executive leadership courses
  • Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  • Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions
  • Understands the training and development ecosystem; inform and influence integration points
  • Onboards, trains, and certifies new course facilitators
  • Engages in planning for a variety of internal and external events to bring visibility and learning to our employees, our partners and our customers
  • Partners and collaborates with our learning and development team partners to create learning paths directly tied to living our Boeing Values and Behaviors
  • Partners and collaborates with communications lead to build relevant quality, training, and culture communications
  • Drives culture strategy, build programs, and execute on global initiatives
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability
  • Influences business partners and functional leaders on Quality culture
  • Supports development and implements business plans, policies and procedures
  • Develops organizational strategies, assesses effectiveness, and informs continuous improvements
  • Leads process and culture improvements
  • Mentors fellow employees and leaders in the Quality Management System and Quality Culture
  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of quality culture
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience using excellent verbal & written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 2+ years of experience managing and/or leading a team either formally or informally, with the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience working in Quality, Manufacturing, Business Operations, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
  • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 5+ years' experience influencing people in a matrix organization
  • 5+ years' experience in a role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • Teaching, facilitation, coaching, or mentoring experience
  • Facilitation of Quality workshops related to leadership development, growth mindset, and/or culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Transformational leadership experience and employee engagement experience
  • Project management and project implementation experience
  • Proven experience in other functional areas including safety, engineering, technology, business, and manufacturing
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment and/or business unit team
  • Experience working within a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment which required strong communication skills to frequently interact with leadership, internal and external customer representatives, and development teams

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Level 4) : $125,800 - $170,200
