Overview

Final Strike Games is an independent game-development studio with a passion for creating world-class multiplayer, shooter, and live-service games in Unreal Engine. Our team values honesty, transparency, and respect for all, while working together to create industry-inspiring game experiences!

Final Strike Games is looking for an experienced and talented Quest Designer to join our studio as a member of a small embedded team of engineers and designers collaborating directly with Epic Games to create the latest and greatest quest and live service content for the renowned Fortnite franchise. Collaborating across disciplines, the Quest Designer is responsible for design organization and feature quality. Our team is highly collaborative and we believe that all voices should be heard, and we expect you to be a champion of that mindset.

You will be provided opportunities to grow your knowledge and skills, and encouraged to find ownership in areas that align with your expertise. Team members are expected to lead with curiosity and to help cultivate a trusting and collaborative environment with your fellow designers.

This is a remarkable opportunity to build shipping content for one of the most iconic game franchises in history, producing the weapons and items that lend Fortnite its unique identity!

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Work collaboratively with both FSG and Epic designers and engineers to produce best-in-class live service content.
• Understand consumer needs and help make sure the features developed by the team will contribute to player satisfaction and enjoyment.
• Define and manage the implementation of key game features.
• Able to drive and execute on prototyping in whatever format makes the most sense to prove out the idea.
• Take part in playtests and help drive solutions for any encountered problems.  Participate in playtests and translate collected feedback into action items.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least one shipped AAA title.
• 2 years of game design experience on console and/or PC.
• Experience with Unreal Engine, including Blueprints. 
• Excellent communication skills across all mediums and all levels.
• Passion for playing and making console and PC games.
• Ability to maintain rich, thoughtful, and candid communication to ensure the very best game is built.
• Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and the gaming industry overall.
• Ability to analyze and adapt designs quickly based on feedback and data.
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and effective time-management skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and development methodologies.
• High-quality bar and obsessive attention to detail.
