You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

The Shipping, Receiving, and Buyer Associate plays a key role in managing inventory, ensuring quality control for incoming and outgoing shipments, and handling procurement to support company operations. This position is responsible for verifying deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and goods.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Receiving & Inventory Management:

  • Accurately track and document the receipt of goods, ensuring proper storage and organization.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies, reporting any issues to management.
  • Verify packing lists against purchase orders to confirm accuracy.
  • Update inventory records in Microsoft Business Central to reflect received products.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize excess or obsolete stock and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Prepare and package products for returns to vendors, completing necessary documentation.

Procurement & Purchasing:

  • Issue purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels and align with production needs.
  • Monitor supply levels and proactively reorder materials to prevent shortages.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Assist in evaluating vendor performance and negotiating pricing agreements.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of experience in receiving, procurement, inventory, and shipping of electromechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, procurement, and inventory management processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all receiving and purchasing activities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central, and other inventory management tools.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, managing incoming materials and supply chains.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative and follow up with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Supply Chain or related field
  • At least 2+ years of experience in Buying/Shipping/Receiving

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Hearing and speech to communicate
