Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

About the role

Hi, my name is Symone, Recruiting Operations & Enablement Manager here at Customer.io!

I’m looking for a Recruiting Coordinator who cares deeply about candidate experience and takes pride in keeping our recruiting processes organized, accurate, and running smoothly.

While interview scheduling and coordination are central to the work, you’ll also help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes — ensuring details are accurate, processes stay on track, and the team can move quickly and consistently. You’ll partner closely with the recruiting team, hiring managers, and interviewers to keep communication clear, workflows structured, and every candidate interaction thoughtful and consistent.

What we value
  • A candidate-first mindset — every interaction matters
  • Operational rigor and strong attention to detail
  • Clear, proactive communication
  • Ownership and accountability
  • A drive to improve processes as we scale
What you’ll do
  • Own end-to-end interview coordination and candidate communications (50%), ensuring accurate scheduling and a seamless experience
  • Maintain ATS and scheduling tool accuracy (Greenhouse, GoodTime) (20%) including interview plans, hiring teams, permissions, and templates
  • Coordinate background checks and manage offer-stage workflows (15%) through onboarding handoff
  • Identify process gaps and drive operational improvements (10%), surfacing friction points and recommending solutions
  • Support recruiting programs and cross-functional initiatives (5%) that improve efficiency and scalability beyond day-to-day coordination
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination or recruiting operations
  • Ideally based in the United States (Central or Eastern time zone preferred)
  • Must haves: Experience with Greenhouse and Goodtime
  • Nice to Haves: Experience with tools like Gem, Notion, Airtable, or similar systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Compensation & Benefits

We believe in transparency. The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000 USD, depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

We know our people are what make us great, and we’re committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family. We also offer 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

Our Process

No gotchas, no trick questions - just a clear, human process designed to help both of us make an informed decision.

  • Hiring Manager (30 min)
  • TA, Director (30 min)
  • Live Scenario (45 min)
  • Final Interview (30 min)

All final candidates will be asked to complete a background check and employment verifications as part of our pre-employment process.

We strive to build an inclusive team culture, implement bias-free hiring practices, and develop community partnerships to expand our global impact.

Zoom is the only video conference platform that we use, virtual interviews will be conducted using the video capability (i.e., not via the chat), and offers will be extended in writing on official Customer.io letterhead. Please be vigilant in all of your job search activity, and if you have any questions please contact [email protected].

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
