Job Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Regional Data Manager to join the Clearing Data Management Center of Excellence (CoE). In this role, you will lead the implementation of our global data framework in the United States, driving adoption of data governance, quality, and literacy while ensuring regional alignment with global objectives.
You will build a small but impactful team, represent the USA in global data initiatives, and act as a key enabler of our data transformation. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement across business and technology, a deep understanding of clearing and its data, and a proactive approach to solving complex challenges.

This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a min of 3 days per week onsite in office.
Job Responsibilities:
Regional Implementation & Leadership
  • Lead the rollout of the global data framework roadmap, tailoring approaches to local requirements and regulatory environments.
  • Manage and develop a small regional data team (1-2 FTE).
  • Function as a key representative for US in global data initiatives.
  • Own at least one global data capability and lead its global rollout.

Stakeholder Engagement & Transformation
  • Champion the shift toward a data-driven culture across the region by influencing and guiding business stakeholders through the transformation journey.
  • Engage with regional stakeholders across Finance, Commerce, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT to align data priorities with business goals.
  • Work closely with the Education & Awareness Lead (located in Amsterdam) to organize data events, awareness campaigns, and training sessions to build data literacy and embed data as a strategic asset.

Data Governance & Quality
  • Advocate for governance of critical data sets, particularly for regulatory and financial reporting, by clarifying ownership, improving processes, and establishing roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate adoption of data standards for critical regional business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and Architecture teams to identify and implement globally aligned solutions for regional data quality challenges.
  • Participate in Change Request Assessments (CRAs) and the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) ensuring data governance is embedded in all relevant change processes.
  • Participate in the US IT Risk Committee to ensure data management risks are well documented and communicated to the second line

Governance & Influence
  • Chair the US Regional Data Committee to align priorities, track initiatives, and promote cross functional collaboration.
  • Represent US in the Global Clearing Data Management CoE Management Team (MT) and serve as a member of the US Finance MT.
  • Provide regular reporting, insights, and escalation on regional data issues, adoption progress, and risks to relevant executive stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of data management experience in clearing, global markets, or financial services
  • Bachelors in a relevant field such as Information Management, Finance, Business Analytics, or Computer Science. or Masters degree preferred
  • People management experience
  • Strong background in large-scale data initiatives and project execution
  • Strong experience in cross-functional business analysis involving multiple systems and data sources
  • Proficiency in SQL for data exploration, validation, and issue investigation
  • High level of data literacy and expertise in data management domains including data quality, data governance, metadata, lineage, and policy frameworks.
  • Experience with data tooling such as Tableau (for dashboarding), Collibra (for metadata management), and AWS (as storage platform).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences, i.e.: from regional business teams to European head office leadership.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive execution of strategic plans and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and tactical skills to translate strategy into actionable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage adversity, lead through ambiguity, and stay focused in challenging situations.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams and regions.
  • Skilled in building data awareness, facilitating training sessions, and advocating data literacy across an organization.
  • Strong cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP and/or CDMP Certifications

Below is the expected base salary for this position. Offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process. This position will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
Base Salary Range
$120,000-$150,000 USD
