Job Purpose

Drive the end-to-end execution of a new Operating Model across the organization. Bridge strategic planning with on-the-ground execution, ensuring that Rise Recipe initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and fully adopted by plants. The Rise Recipe is working to organize our teams in 22 plants around a single way or working, deploying 45 modules that standardize processes from recruiting and onboarding to converting raw products and packs into finished goods. This role will focus on appreciating our people and determining how we can reinvest into our business. We expect this to be a 24-month project with travel to various plants across our organization and working directly with our plant leadership teams.

Essential Functions

• Go-Fast Initiative Execution and Effectiveness

o Drive all 24 initiatives to completion across pod plants against the rollout timeline

o Own the distinction between “installed” and “working” – validate that each initiative is changing behavior and metrics on the floor

o Escalate blockers to the Rise Recipe Program Lead and plant Ops VP to prevent timeline delays

• Waste & CI Strategy

o Build the pod's waste-reduction and CI strategy; analyze MUV, scrap, and downtime data across pod plants to determine which opportunities carry the highest impact and sequence accordingly

o Translate that strategy into a committed, owned action plan with dates; personally drive it through to execution and closure

o Continuously re-prioritize as new data comes in (standing capability, not a one-time exercise at rollout kickoff)

• MUV and Unplanned Downtime

o Hold a specific, numeric quick-win target for MUV and unplanned downtime reduction at each plant in the pod

o Lead root-cause problem-solving on MUV and unplanned downtime as the near-term proof point of the broader waste/CI strategy

o Report progress against MUV and unplanned downtime inside the existing Day 10/weekly cadence

• Coaching – CI and Operations

o Coach plant CI leads and operations leaders in root-cause problem-solving, prioritization discipline, and standard work; align methodologies to Rise Recipe playbook

o Build durable local capability, so pod plants can sustain and extend gains after active deployment phase ends

o Coach through real, live problems on the floor; work the actual gap alongside the plant team

• Tucker Fidelity and Learning Transfer

o Ensure certification on the Tucker playbook before deploying to any pod plant

o Ensure pod plants adopt the standard as Tucker built it; flag and escalate deviation

o Feed real plant-level learning back to the central team; ensure a two-way channel • Governance

o Represent pod plants in Core Build Team/Extended Team cadence

o Own accurate Smartsheet tracking for assigned pod initiatives

• Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, industrial engineering, or a related field, and 7+ years of related experience

• Formal CI credentials (Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt) or equivalent hands-on track record leading root cause problem-solving to closure

• Demonstrated strategic CI capability; experience building or leading a waste-reduction/CI prioritization strategy from data; track record of determining the right problems, not only solving assigned ones

• Strong analytics fluency; comfortable pulling and interpreting trend data (MUV, downtime, scrap) to find the highest-leverage opportunity before it becomes a problem

• Fluent with KPI tools (Patch, SAP, LaunchPAD); ability to translate a dashboard number into a floor-level action plan

• Proven coaching experience; experience developing other CI practitioners or operations leaders; comfortable teaching through live floor problems

• Proven ability to convert analysis into execution with a track record of turning a root-cause finding into a committed action plan and driving it to closure

• Comfortable being on the floor daily; willingness to travel

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
