In this role, you will:
- Hire, coach, and retain front-line high performing Sales Managers and Account Executives in Austin, TX
- Own forecast reviews, including interpreting data into actionable insights; ensure consistent pipeline health in Salesforce
- Work closely with the Marketing and Product teams to refine target customer profiles, messaging, and product roadmaps, ensuring sales efforts are highly aligned with market demand and product evolution.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Enablement to streamline sales processes, optimize the use of sales tools and technology, and develop impactful training programs and content that elevate team performance.
- Partner with the Channel team to develop and execute strategies that maximize partner-led revenue, ensuring seamless collaboration and a consistent customer experience across direct and indirect sales motions.
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales Engineering to ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary technical depth to articulate value, solve complex customer problems, and successfully demonstrate Rapid7's solutions.
- Partner effectively with Talent Acquisition to recruit and interview top talent
- Conduct written and in-person performance reviews on a semi-annual and annual basis; provide active coaching and mentorship to direct reports
- Foster a culture of accountability, positivity and collaboration
- Develop and guide team strategy for effective account planning and customer segmentation, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Lead market expansion initiatives, identifying new opportunities and guiding the team to penetrate emerging segments.
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Senior Director of Commercial Sales, offering insights and recommendations for optimizing go-to-market execution
- Regional/ domestic travel up to 20%.
The skills you'll bring include:
- 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing managers; or a current Senior Manager of Sales at Rapid7
- Proven excellence leading sales teams in high-velocity B2B environments (ideally SaaS or cybersecurity industries)
- Previous experience interviewing and recruiting top sales talent
- Deep knowledge of forecasting methodologies, pipeline metrics, and sales performance management tools, leveraging these to drive predictable revenue, optimize sales processes, and enhance team productivity.
- Effective executive presence, ability to build consensus and foster impactful collaboration across diverse teams and leadership levels.
- Extensive experience with MEDDPICC or other established value-based selling methodologies, consistently driving complex deal cycles.
- Champions adaptability and resilience across a hybrid sales force, providing clear direction and support to navigate market shifts, unforeseen challenges, and the unique dynamics of cybersecurity sales.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clear performance expectations, holding Sales Managers and Account Executives accountable for achieving aggressive growth targets within the region.
