Regional Sales Manager, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) – Southeast Region
The Opportunity
In this role, you will support the growth of power grid solutions across the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment in the Southeast region. You will manage and guide a network of Manufacturer’s Representatives to expand both new and existing business, aligning regional strategies with customer needs and market opportunities. Your work will span sales strategy execution, pipeline development, and performance management, helping ensure that customers receive solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency across their operations. By driving disciplined forecasting, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing valuable market feedback, you will contribute to improving the performance and competitiveness of energy solutions in your region. This role offers the chance to strengthen your commercial and technical sales capabilities while directly influencing how grid-related products and services are positioned, delivered, and valued in the market.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive regional sales performance by managing Manufacturer’s Representative organizations and supporting balanced growth across new and existing accounts
- Establish clear performance expectations, territory strategies, and sales targets for rep partners
- Conduct business reviews, pipeline discussions, and forecast meetings to maintain visibility and momentum across opportunities
- Guide and influence third-party representatives to improve deal quality, conversion rates, and account penetration
- Support pipeline development through structured prospecting, account planning, and opportunity prioritization
- Ensure accurate opportunity qualification, forecasting, and CRM discipline across the regional sales network
- Coordinate deal approvals, contract negotiations, and complex sales pursuits to support successful outcomes
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to internal teams to help align value propositions with customer priorities
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business administration, or a technical field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, including working with sales or manufacturer’s representatives
- Demonstrated technical selling aptitude and account management experience
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage rep organization leaders and internal stakeholders
- Proven skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management
- Location: Within the region; Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. High preference to be located near Raleigh, North Carolina headquarters office. 30-50% Travel throughout this region required.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in performance managing manufacturer’s reps including measurement of performance against established KPI’s and ensuring the appropriate network of Representatives
- Responsible for Sales accounts/region of $100 MUSD or higher
- Experience in C&I sales
- Understanding and experience with portfolio of products and services in the Hitachi Energy C&I segment
