The Regional Sales Manager is representing the company TRUMPF to customers and responsible for overall sales in Northern California and the states of Oregon and Washington. The individual will be responsible for generating leads and sales of OEM lasers and laser-based systems. The primary responsibilities include prospecting, lead generation and customer qualification supporting the goal of selling lasers and laser-based systems. Responsibility includes meeting yearly sales goals, sales planning, direct selling to end users and integrators and networking with sales reps and distributors as required.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Representation of TRUMPF Laser Division in front of the customers in Northern California and the states of Oregon and Washington and responsible for overall customer care and ownership before and after the sale.
  • Responsible for sales and revenue in the region described in a separate document.
  • Sales of all products of TRUMPF Laser Division like e.g. laser sources, optics, systems and marking lasers and additive manufacturing products.
  • Coordinate and make of strategic customer partnerships.
  • Initiate new applications at target accounts.
  • Maintain target activity levels required to support the regional sales manager role in your territory, including customer visits, lead follow up, application requests, among others as identified by the organization, and accurately recorded in the CRM application.
  • Define and work on action plans based on country strategy.
  • Cooperation with external partners and integrators.
  • Initiate marketing activities and participation at relevant conferences.
  • Close cooperation with sales management including regular, daily/weekly reports about important calls, projects, all visits and all closed or lost orders.
  • Consistent and accountable use of TRUMPF standard sales systems like e.g. C4C, E2Q.
  • Prospect and qualify potential new companies and customers for TRUMPF lasers and systems in the assigned territory.
  • Produce and maintain market information relevant to territory.
  • Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines.

Travel

  • Willingness to travel is a must (up to 50%).
  • Must maintain Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport for international travel.
  • Occasional overnights as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Firm experience in selling technology driven capital equipment. 
  • The position requires excellent communication skills. Experience and good connections to the main target industries is required.  Must have technical knowledge of laser technology and systems and their processes.
  • Associates degree is required, Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field strongly preferred or combination of training and work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Salary Range

Base Salary: $65,00 - 75,000 plus Commission and Bonus Structure
