Your proven experience in relationship management, business banking and customer acquisition will be the foundation for success in this role. We're looking for someone who enjoys building trusted partnerships and delivering tailored solutions that help businesses achieve their goals.

You'll work closely with customers to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and provide strategic banking solutions that support growth and long-term success. Backed by a highly skilled analyst team and integrated systems, you'll have more time to do what you do best - build relationships and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, you'll join a passionate Regional and Agribusiness Banking (RAB) team committed to supporting businesses across Australia and enhancing the financial wellbeing of regional communities.

You'll manage a diversified portfolio of business banking customers and customer relationships extending across regional WA. You'll be responsible for deepening existing relationships, delivering tailored banking solutions and driving sustainable portfolio growth through proactive business development and customer acquisition.

We work flexibly to balance customer needs, team collaboration and home life - combining time in the office, on customer sites and working remotely.

More specifically, you will:

  • Manage a diversified portfolio of commercial and business banking customers, building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of each customer's business, industry and growth objectives.

  • Retain and grow existing relationships by identifying opportunities to deepen customer engagement and deliver tailored banking solutions.

  • Proactively identify and acquire new-to-bank customers across regional WA.

  • Structure, negotiate and execute lending and banking solutions that meet customer needs while delivering strong risk and commercial outcomes.

  • Prepare and manage end-to-end new business transactions, working closely with analyst partners and specialist teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Drive portfolio growth through effective relationship management, business development and referral network engagement.

  • Maintain a strong focus on proactive risk management, ensuring sound credit quality and portfolio performance.

  • Leverage internal networks and specialist capabilities to provide customers with access to a broad range of banking, lending and financial solutions.

  • Represent CommBank within the local business and agricultural communities, building trusted relationships and strengthening our market presence.

  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture through collaboration, knowledge sharing and a commitment to customer excellence.

We're interested in hearing from people who:

  • Have experience in Commercial Banking or Business Banking and pride themselves on building strong customer relationships.

  • Demonstrate strong business development skills and a track record of growing portfolios through acquisition and relationship deepening.

  • Are highly skilled in deal origination, structuring and negotiation of lending and banking solutions.

  • Have strong commercial acumen and are confident interpreting financial information, assessing risk and understanding business cash flow drivers.

  • Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with specialist teams to deliver holistic customer outcomes.

  • Have a strong network across the business and/or agricultural community and can leverage relationships to generate new opportunities.

  • Are passionate about supporting businesses and contributing to the success of regional Western Australia.
