(REMOTE) Leave Specialist, Leave of Absence Administration
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources, as normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in a field requiring analysis, three (3) years of leave of absence administration related work experience & / or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Must possess some knowledge of & experience with leave of absence administration, payroll, or related field.
Experience working in multiple software / computer systems, such as UKG, Kronos, Workday, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & comfortable learning new systems as needed.
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
Certifications related to Absence Management & / or Human Resources.
Presentations of data-driven reports.
Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)- Serves as primary contact, guides & supports colleagues, leaders throughout the life of assigned leave(s) / cases to ensure the Trinity Health System culture, policies & procedures are intact while mitigating legal & financial risks.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional, nationwide teams within the Trinity Health System related to the Leave of Absence program, processes & related initiatives, including project oversight as required. Educates & provides guidance to colleagues & leaders on process, procedures & communications regarding respective leaves.
- Provides subject matter expertise on the development, maintenance & modification of return-to-work strategies & any plan- or benefit-related policies, procedures & / or tools, including short- & long-term disability, FMLA, ADAAA, etc., to ensure compliance with federal, state & local laws.
- Responsible for vendor partnership & appropriate company policy oversight of leave programs supporting qualified absences due to occupational & non-occupational events.
- Participates in the development & support of aligned production, communications, service delivery plans & workflows to ensure plans are successfully implemented & services are delivered on time, on budget & to specifications.
- Applies critical thinking, subject matter expertise to serve as a functional resource of business operational services, issue resolution & implementation. Ability to display sound judgement in obtaining other subject matter expert reviews and alignment on complex scenarios, including not limited to Legal, Colleague relations and Human Resources leadership.
Hourly pay ranges: $31.88 - $47.82
