***This position is an Onsite role based out of our Seattle, WA office.***

About the role:
The Research Manager leads the market intelligence function, delivering critical insights that drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships. This role is responsible for producing forward-looking analysis, market intelligence, and thought leadership that position Colliers as the trusted advisor to occupiers, investors, and owners. By combining advanced data analytics with deep market knowledge, the Research Manager ensures brokers, clients, and executives have the insights needed to shape business strategies and achieve competitive advantage.    

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the local research team, fostering a high-performance culture, developing junior talent, and ensuring alignment with national best practices. 

  • Responsible for the creation of quarterly and annual market reports, economic outlooks and thought leadership content that elevate Colliers’ brand in the marketplace.  

  • Provide strategic, client-facing research support for broker pursuits and client deliverables, directly influencing business development outcomes. 

  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of property databases, market statistics, and economic indicators, ensuring Colliers maintains its reputation for reliability and authority.

  • Act as a trusted market advisor by interpreting complex data into clear insights that inform client decision-making and corporate real estate strategies. 

  • Strengthen Colliers’ brand visibility by cultivating relationships with local media, trade associations, public agencies, and academic institutions.

  • Partner with valuation, capital markets, and leasing professionals to support financial modeling, lease analysis, and transaction research.

  • Collaborate with marketing, GIS and IT teams to enhance data visualizations tools, streamline workflows, and deliver innovative research solutions.

  • Participate in local sales/leasing meetings and represent the local market in in regional and national research calls, contributing insights, sharing best practices, and influencing research standards

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of applied research or analytics experience in commercial real estate, with proven track record of project [MC2.1]ownership and/or team leadership.

  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role is preferred.

  • Expertise with CoStar, MSCI-RCA, Tableau/Power BI and CRM systems for client segmentation and business intelligence. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize shifting demands and  deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. 

  • Experience in GIS mapping or spatial analytics preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.

  • Client-facing communication and storytelling expertise, with ability to influence decision-making

Pursuant to local law, Colliers is disclosing the following information:  

Area/Location Specific: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $98,503 to $116,038 

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Benefits 

Employees (and their families) are provided options for employer subsidized medical benefits including RX, dental, vision as well as employer paid basic life/AD&D insurance and short-term / long-term disability. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes an employer match. Employees will also receive 10 days of sick leave and a minimum of 15-days vacation annually.  Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off.  Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year.  Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment. Individuals may be eligible for different or additional benefits under applicable state law. 

Bonus 

This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
