Revenue Accounting Manager

Bestow is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our team. As we expand our enterprise business, you will be integral in implementing processes and systems of scale and ensuring accurate technical accounting and compliance.

This role combines hands-on SaaS revenue expertise with operational ownership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, and compliance. You’ll lead revenue accounting, support billing operations, and act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams to drive revenue recognition and financial operations excellence.

This role reports to our Controller and is open to Remote (US). #LIREMOTE

• Serve as a technical and operational partner to our cross-functional teams, including Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Strategic Finance. 

• Provide education and guidance in contract negotiations to enable strategic decision-making while addressing financial and accounting considerations.

• Review large bespoke customer contracts and ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition. 

• Analyze large, complex revenue transactions and provide appropriate revenue guidance.

• Own revenue policies development and maintenance, including technical research and memos. 

• Maintain and improve internal controls over revenue and financial reporting.

• Support revenue compliance requirements, including  SOC 1, audit, and tax compliance..

• Lead monthly revenue close process and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

• Continuously improve revenue systems and processes for scale and efficiency.

• Stay current on accounting standards and best practices.

• CPA with 5+ years of accounting experience, public company or fast-growing environment preferred

• Proficiency in SaaS revenue accounting under U.S. GAAP.

• Demonstrated leadership, including mentoring and developing team members.

• Experience with implementing processes and systems related to revenue operations and accounting

• Excellent communication and project management skills
