About the Role:

The Global Revenue Programs & Events team at Kong is the engine behind our high-performance culture and sales momentum. Sitting within the Office of the CRO, this team is responsible for developing and executing a world-class events program that aligns with field initiatives, supports talent retention, and helps drive revenue growth.

As Kong continues to scale, we are seeking an experienced Revenue Events Manager. Reporting to the Director of Global Revenue Programs, you will take full ownership of our global revenue events calendar, from our flagship Annual Sales Kickoff (SKO) to our elite President’s Club incentive trip, ‘Silverback Circle’, and various internal sales events aimed at driving field success. This is a high-visibility role for a strategic operator who thrives on creating unforgettable experiences that align with the CRO’s strategic priorities and empower a global sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Development
  • Vision & Strategy: Partner with the Director of Global Revenue Programs to build strategic revenue events that tie business goals and strategy to a longer-term vision and program roadmap.

  • The SKO Campaign: Develop the Annual Sales Kickoff (SKO) into a year-round campaign designed to engage, align, and motivate the entire GTM organization in partnership with the Director of Global Revenue Programs.

  • Creative Development: Partner with the Director of Global Revenue Programs on the creative evolution of all revenue events to ensure they remain fresh and impactful.

  • Field Engagement: Design and execute multiple internal sales events throughout the year aimed at driving field productivity and morale.

End-to-End Event Execution
  • Portfolio Management: Lead, manage, and execute multiple complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, including:

    • Annual Sales Kickoff (SKO)

    • ‘Silverback Circle’ (Annual Incentive Trip)

    • Global Revenue Events (Multiple smaller-scale events)

    • Recognition Programs: Deal Team Awards and Quarterly Employee Awards.

  • Calendar Ownership: Manage and develop the annual Revenue Events calendar to ensure optimal timing and resource allocation.

Operational Excellence & Governance
  • Project Management: Own the setup of projects using PM tools, creating templates, and maintaining documentation to ensure a scalable "playbook" for success.

  • Budgetary Control: Lead full budget management and expense reconciliation; collaborate with Procurement to manage payments and vendor contracts.

  • Accountability: Ensure internal teams and external vendors meet project deadlines and milestones, proactively removing blockers to keep projects on track.

  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in workflows and tools to reduce friction and improve department-wide efficiency.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting
  • Communication Plans: Develop comprehensive communication and project plans for all responsible programs.

  • Executive Visibility: Maintain consistent reporting to leadership and key stakeholders, keeping them apprised of project status, risks, and strategic changes.

  • Performance Metrics: Define success for each event, providing post-mortem analysis and data-driven recommendations for future programs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in corporate event management, ideally within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment or supporting a Revenue/Sales organization.

  • Ownership Mentality: A proven track record of managing large-scale, innovative global events (500+ attendees) from concept to completion.

  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing large-scale budgets and navigating procurement/contracting processes.

  • Execution: A track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and under pressure.

  • Executive Presence: Comfortable communicating and collaborating with senior leaders, both verbal and written.

  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot quickly in a high-growth environment while maintaining a "no-task-is-too-small" attitude.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel globally to manage on-site execution for key events (approx. 30-50%).

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration, or related field required.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
