Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Billing and Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing billing processes, supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Director of RIA Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the billing process for investment advisory services, including preparing fees, submitting them to be processed, and making sure they are completed accurately.

  • Maintain and update billing systems, ensuring all client information is current and compliant with regulatory standards and firm guidelines.

  • Collaborate with advisors and support teams to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.

  • Prepare billing reports for the finance team. Analyze reports to identify trends and areas for operational improvement.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.

  • Provide training and support to team members on billing processes and systems.

  • Perform trading functions to support the implementation of investment strategies.

  • Perform data quality functions and oversee overall data hygiene within Orion, Salesforce, and other platforms used by the firm.

  • Perform operational tasks to support onboarding clients and daily client maintenance including opening accounts, processing account maintenance requests, asset movements, and client service support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in billing, operations, or client service within the financial services industry, preferably with an RIA firm.

  • Understanding of RIA operations, regulatory requirements, and investment products.

  • Proficiency in advisor billing software and CRM, particularly Orion and Salesforce.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
