Job Description Summary

The Risk Coordinator supports the general liability claims process by helping claims examiners conduct timely investigations, preserve evidence, and set up claims with the third-party administrator (TPA). This role ensures examiners have the complete and accurate information needed to investigate claims and reduce exposure. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Initiate new claims and establish claim files 
  • Preserve time-sensitive evidence promptly 
  • Respond to diaries and obtain required documentation 
  • Provide key claim materials, including video, leases, service records, store data, contracts, and COIs 
  • Partner with internal teams and stores to resolve gaps and ensure timely delivery of claim supports. 
  • Manage the general mailbox and route claim materials to files and examiners 
  • Maintain accurate, complete claim documentation 
  • Download, validate, and preserve surveillance and dashcam footage. 
  • Review potential third-party exposure and support landlord/vendor tenders. 
  • Ensure contracts and COIs are available to support risk transfer 
  • Coordinate gift card activation requests and communicate status to examiners. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with a proven ability to learn new software programs and systems as required. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills for claims support. 
  • Exhibits strong customer service capabilities and professional conduct in providing support to internal and external partners. 

Education

  • High School Degree or equivalent

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $34.15

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
