Engineering & Technology Innovation (E&TI) is seeking Robotics and Controls Engineer(s) for the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) Automation, Composites and Tooling (ACT) team in Auburn, Washington.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced and Senior Robotics Controls Engineer.
This role is an addition to the growing automation development team within the Puget sound and will support multiple projects ranging in technological maturity and will help us shape the future of robotics research and development within The Boeing Company.
Position responsibilities:
  • Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces and designs for robotic cells, controls systems, electrical cabinets and automated hardware systems
  • Support the design, build and commissioning of unique end-effectors for automated manufacturing processes
  • Perform engineering activities including development, integration and testing of automated hardware systems and/or software
  • Influence, innovate and continuously improve automated engineering processes as well as the quality, safety and reliability of our products and services
  • Collaborate proactively with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand operational and performance requirements
  • Support agile project management, project estimation and planning
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn and work with new technologies
  • Cultivate a positive team culture

Basics Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience in automation and robotic controls engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience/Exposure to Power Distribution
  • Experience/Exposure to Industrial Sensors
  • Experience/Exposure to Industrial Motors
  • Experience/Exposure to Industrial Drive Trains
  • Experience/Exposure to Industrial Robot Programming
  • Experience/Exposure to PLC programming
  • Experience/Exposure to NC programming
  • Experience and Interest in Electrical Cabinet Design

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $98,600 - $133,400
Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $119,850 - $162,150
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $146,200 - $197,800
