CAS is currently seeking a Sales Tech Product Consultant. This position will be remote.

Job Summary:

Responsible for collaborating with Sales staff in an assigned territory by providing pre and post-sale technical training and product consulting to customers worldwide. Also identifies opportunities to grow, retain, cross-sell and penetrate the customer utilizing their expertise in the product and services portfolio. Accountable for preparing and presenting instructional materials in various media for technical training events for user meetings, technical conferences, on-site customer visits, customer meetings via teleconference, and the virtual online product laboratory.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Providing technical product demonstrations and training for customers and internal staff
  • Development and design of customized training materials to meet customer needs and highlight product features by explaining and demonstrating search techniques using tailored examples.
  • Creation and delivery of technical instructions and demonstrations for pre-and post-sale support, workshops, user meetings, technical conferences, and remote or in-person customer meetings
  • Evaluation of customer information needs and matching them to appropriate products and services in close collaboration with sales.
  • Gathering customer feedback on products, services, or policies and communicating this information to internal partners such as product development and sales

Qualifications:

  • A foundational understanding of chemistry with a bachelor’s degree in natural science, advanced degree preferred
  • Experience supporting science-related solutions with a strong capacity to articulate application-specific value propositions to address user pain points.

  • Preferred: experience with scientific information solutions such as SciFinder and STN; experience in working with patent information; experience with the drug discovery process

  • Full fluency in English and in the language of your supporting customers  

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and answer questions about product content and relevant scientific information.

  • Ability to quickly understand a subject area outside of our comfort zone, Analytical Methods and formulas are products where we have to quickly get an understanding of the science and indexing practices and then develop a search strategy that is relevant for a customer training or prospect demonstration.
