Lead and manage a team of mid-market Account Executives: set targets, recruit and onboard, coach and mentor, develop strategic sales plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze sales data, and drive revenue growth and process improvements.

Proof of current Arizona residency required. Non-residents need not apply.

About the Role

We are a young, fast-growing, funded startup already working with a large enterprise client, and we are hiring our first dedicated salesperson. This is a ground-floor role. You will not inherit a playbook or wait for marketing to hand you leads. You will find the opportunities, go after them, and help build the sales function from the ground up.

We sell a cutting-edge Custom AI Intelligent Voice Assistant (IVA) solution to transportation software companies, NEMT providers, dispatch operations, fleet management, and inbound call center businesses. The market is wide open and the product is differentiated.

You are a hunter. You source your own pipeline, work decision-makers directly, and run your own outreach. If you can close, you will close and earn accordingly. If closing is not yet your strength, we will close with you while you build that muscle. Either way, you set the pace here.

What You'll Own

  • Build and work your own pipeline. Identify targets, find the right decision-makers, and go after them across phone, email, and LinkedIn. We have a starting list of target organizations.

  • Run discovery conversations and qualify real opportunities, not just set appointments.

  • Close deals where you are able, with full support from the team when you need it.

  • Shape the outreach process, messaging, and sales playbook as we grow. Your feedback directly changes how we operate.

  • Help us decide who we hire next and how the department scales.

Compensation

  • Base salary depending on experience.

  • Bonuses on qualified opportunities plus recurring commissions on closed sales.

  • Closers earn more. The more you own the full cycle, the higher your ceiling.

  • On-target earnings scale with performance and closing contribution.

  • Equity opportunities for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For

  • A self-starter who builds pipeline from scratch and does not need leads handed to them.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a genuine pull toward building something rather than plugging into a machine.

  • Strong, persuasive communicator who is confident opening cold conversations with senior decision-makers.

  • Resilient, independent, and motivated by ownership and upside.

  • Based in Arizona and authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

  • Full-cycle or closing experience.

  • Experience with CRM tools like Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or VoIP systems.

  • Familiarity with NEMT, SaaS, fleet, transportation, or call center industries.

Tools You'll Use

Sales Navigator for prospecting, a corporate VoIP system for calls, Calendly for scheduling, and Hubspot Sales CRM for tracking.

Not a Fit If

  • You need marketing to supply your leads.

  • You need a structured team around you to stay motivated.

  • You only want to set appointments for someone else to close.

  • You are not based in Arizona or not authorized to work in the U.S.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
