Position Overview

Join the Actian Sales Development team for a front-row seat at a global enterprise software company. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Sales Development, you’ll help drive our go-to-market strategy by bridging the gap between raw data and closed deals.

This isn't a "shadowing" role. You will be actively building pipeline, refining lead intelligence, and supporting the execution of high-priority sales campaigns. If you’re looking to master the fundamentals of professional sales and data-driven strategy in a high-growth environment, we want to talk to you.

Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Intelligence & Pipeline Fuel

  • Identify and profile "Ideal Customer Profile" (ICP) accounts using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
  • Monitor "Trigger Events" (job changes, funding rounds, news) and alert the SDR team to outreach opportunities.
  • Conduct "Deep Dives" on strategic accounts to map out decision-makers and their pain points.
  • 2. Tactical Execution

  • Assist in building multi-channel outreach sequences (Email, Phone, Social).
  • Manage the "Top of Funnel" hygiene, ensuring no inbound lead sits untouched for more than 5 minutes.
  • Draft personalized "snippets" for high-value prospects to help full-time SDRs scale their personalization.
  • 3. Strategic Special Projects

  • Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a "Battle Card" library by researching competitor updates and market shifts.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Assist the Senior Director in preparing weekly performance decks for executive leadership.
  • Event Support: Coordinate follow-up cadences for webinars and trade shows to ensure maximum ROI on marketing spend.
  • AI SDR Assistant Project: Assist in creating custom AI workflows for the SDR team to help automate manual tasks like: account research, prospecting and email execution.
  • 4. Strategic Capstone Project:

Analyze a specific segment of our outreach data or a competitive market shift to develop a "GTM Optimization Plan," which you will present as your final project during the Internship Showcase.

Requirements:

    • Must be actively enrolled in a college degree program
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
