Description

Firefly is the Automated Cloud Resilience platform that helps enterprises instantly recover from outages and cyberattacks using Infrastructure-as-Code. Firefly scans your entire cloud estate, creates a unified System of Record across all resources and dependencies, and restores your complete environment into a clean region or account in minutes, so you can get back online fast after an incident. Through IaC-driven automation, Firefly ensures your infrastructure stays governed, compliant, and recovery-ready.

At Firefly, we are looking for a talented SDR to join our Sales team. The position is fully remote, open for all US locations.

As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure that our company’s sales goals are met.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of success in sales development. If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities in the US and EMEA market (with a focus on outbound motion and conference leads).
  • Contact and qualify potential customers.
  • Set appointments and follow up on leads.
  • Track progress towards meeting sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and field sales team to develop strategies for reaching lead and pipeline targets.
  • Use customer relationship management (CRM) software, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and a sales engagement platform (e.g., Amplemarket, Outreach) to manage and scale outbound activity.
  • Use AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to support prospecting, research, and personalized outreach.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition, and industry developments.
Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of quota-carrying SDR experience in B2B SaaS (not general sales experience, not internships).
  • Hands-on experience selling into DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, IT Ops, or Security teams, or selling a technical product with a similar buyer.
  • Demonstrated success with high-volume outbound (50+ dials/day) and a track record of consistent quota attainment in a previous SDR role.
  • Proven track record of consistently generating qualified pipeline (for example, a set number of sales-accepted meetings or a dollar amount of pipeline per quarter) in a previous SDR role, not just activity metrics like calls or emails sent.
  • Hands-on working experience (not just willingness to learn) with a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and a sales engagement platform such as Outreach, Salesloft, or Amplemarket.
  • Practical experience using AI/LLM tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for prospecting or personalized outreach, not just familiarity with the concept.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with examples of pipeline generated or meetings booked.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Backup/ DevOps / or Cloud-related companies.
  • Startup or high-growth environment experience.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
