About the Role

As Sales Director, International, reporting to the VP Sales, you will own new business within an assigned international market segment, converting assigned and self-sourced opportunities into new-logo ARR across FatTail and Lineup. Based in the United Kingdom, this is an individual contributor role focused on driving end-to-end sales execution across core enterprise accounts in global markets.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience delivering consistent multi-year quota attainment in a high-ACV, long-cycle sales motion.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling across multiple European or international markets.
  • Deep domain knowledge of the media industry and established credibility with media software buyers.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across time zones with US-based leadership and support functions.
  • Expertise in structured sales methodologies such as ValueSelling and MEDDPICC, alongside a rigorous commitment to forecast and pipeline accuracy.
  • Proven track record of revealing underlying customer business needs and manufacturing urgency where no forced customer event exists.
  • Commercial acumen to structure and negotiate multi-year enterprise software agreements covering SaaS licensing, implementation, and custom development components.
  • A collaborative, curious, and driven mindset with a proven history of running deals as team pursuits across Pre-Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Professional Services.
  • Willingness to maintain an international travel and industry event schedule (approximately 50% onsite travel).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Own and achieve the annual new business quota within your assigned international market segment.
  • Generate a strong self-sourced annual pipeline above and beyond marketing-generated leads.
  • Own deal execution end-to-end without escalation for core ideal customer profile (ICP) opportunities.
  • Convert partner and reseller relationships into qualified new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a high win rate against sales-qualified leads and ensure accurate, real-time CRM tracking.
  • Assume and advance assigned pipeline opportunities without stage regression using structured methodologies like ValueSelling.
  • Build lasting credibility and customer references across your assigned market segment.
  • Collaborate across global teams to refine deal drivers, pivot sales strategies, and analyze win/loss rationale.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: £105,000 Base + 10% Commission (annual quota: £900-1300K new business ARR)
  • Private Health Insurance – Comprehensive medical coverage through BUPA for you and your family.

  • Vacation Policy – 25 days of paid vacation annually, increasing to 26 days after 2 years and 27 days after 4 years. Up to 5 unused days may be carried over each year.
  • Paid Holidays – UK bank holidays plus a company-wide winter break from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.
  • Wellness Benefits – £50 monthly wellness allowance, plus access to the Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offering confidential counseling, webinars, health checks, and wellbeing resources.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
