Role Overview

The Productive Use Sales Executive is a direct revenue generator responsible for bringing PUE hardware to smallholder farmers, business owners, and local groups. Reporting directly to the PUE Coordinator, you will spend most of your time in the field prospecting, demonstrating equipment, closing sales, and ensuring sales data is captured.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Direct Sales Execution

  • Field Conversion: Prospect, pitch, and sell PUE hardware directly to smallholder farmers, commercial growers, cooperatives, and rural businesses to hit individual sales targets.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, managing prospects from first contact through contract execution and payment setup.

  • Product Demonstrations: Organize and execute live field demonstrations, farmer field days, and community meetings to prove product performance and return on investment.

2. Sales Data Capture & Customer Onboarding

  • Field Sales Data: Collect and submit accurate customer sales data, site parameters, and contract details required for pipeline tracking and reporting.

  • Customer Onboarding: Assist during initial equipment commissioning and deliver user orientation on basic operation and routine maintenance.

3. Field Reporting & Partner Support

  • Channel Collaboration: Work alongside local cooperatives, agro-dealers, and partner field officers to source qualified sales leads.

  • Field Reporting: Supply weekly pipeline and field activity updates to the PUE Coordinator.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on field sales experience in solar pumps, agricultural machinery, farm inputs, or rural energy solutions.

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

  • Key Skills: Direct sales closing skills, clear communication, disciplined field data entry, and deep familiarity with rural market dynamics.

  • Mobility: Valid driving or motorcycling license with a willingness to spend 70% to 80% of time traveling across assigned field territories.
