Our client is a funded SaaS platform that provides a marketplace for marijuana dispensaries to purchase from their cannabis vendors, as well as a suite of software tools for those vendors to manage their orders and operations. With over 750 dispensaries and more than 75 leading brands in Colorado and Washington, they are setting the industry standard for how cannabis vendors and retailers do business with each other. They currently seek a Sales Manager / Representative to join their growing team.

Job Description

You will work closely with our Client Success, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations/Expansion teams to grow our user base into new markets. You will be persistent in pursuing new clients and help lead our Business Development Team into new territories. This role is for self-starters and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who can work with our Business Development team to help crush sales goals. The Sales Manager must be comfortable assigning work to members of the team and following up with them on tasks. You are a good fit for this position if you are a goal-oriented overachiever with the drive to chase down clients and close deals.

What You'll Do:

  • Prospect small, medium, and large companies through email, phone calls, meetings, and conferences/events while managing an efficient sales pipeline/process
  • Schedule "discovery" meetings and closing deals with potential clients, which includes managers, directors, and C-level executives responsible for the implementation of business solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client's technology and the a ability to sell its value based on the client's needs
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive technologies and our client's place in the market
  • Manage customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into your assigned territory
  • Develop management skills to manage a growing Business Development team on a daily basis
  • Define, execute, and over-delivery on strategies and tactics to achieve revenue goals
  • Track daily KPIs through a proper and timely reporting system and present those KPIs to management on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Record all sales activities and progress in our CRM
  • Participate in industry events by attending trade shows/association programs
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships virtually and through regular site visits to ensure maximum client success

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably in the software industry selling a SaaS platform, ERP, or other technology product that requires discovery meetings and an analysis of the client's needs
  • 5+ years of experience in an inside/outside sales position
  • 4+ years working in and meeting monthly forecasted KPIs
  • 4+ years working with a CRM and familiar with common sales KPIs and phases
  • 2+ years in a management position, preferably in sales, with the ability to assign work, follow up with team members, lead internal meetings, and manage "by the numbers"
  • Knowledge and experience in the Cannabis industry is a plus, but not required
  • In-depth experience with Excel, huge value add with existing cannabis-industry connections

  • You have knowledge of key project management concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope, and tasks
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are a proficient user of Microsoft Office
