As a Sales Representative within Xylem’s Water Solutions & Services segment, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused approach, engaging with clients through face-to-face meetings, virtual interactions, and industry events. You will work independently within your assigned territory to drive sales, provide expert guidance on Xylem’s solutions, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales growth. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory. 

  • Create and deliver compelling proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs. 

  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. 

  • Accurately maintain CRM records for sales forecasting and strategic planning. 

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, company offerings, and emerging technologies. 

  • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions. 

  • Participate in customer engagement initiatives such as trade shows, webinars, and networking events. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide customized solutions to customers. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Experience 
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in outside sales, customer service, or a related field. 

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team success. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). 

  • Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems. 

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in water solutions, industrial sales, or technical sales. 

  • Knowledge of Xylem’s products and services.

  • Familiarity with sales strategies and industry best practices. 

Physical & Travel Requirements 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods. 

  • Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. 

  • Frequent travel required (up to 50%) to customer sites, meetings, and industry events. 

  • Work may involve exposure to industrial environments, varying temperatures, and noise levels.
