We value diversity in all dimensions and are always looking for talented people to join our team!Overview:We are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to team with all aspects of the customer's organization, including executives, engineering, business owners, legal, and finance. You are a creative thinker that builds vision and generates the demand to impact all divisions. You will be responsible for selling at the strategic level within the account and implementing a strategy for earning customer acceptance and ML service implementation of OctoML's MLOps solutions. You will work with all appropriate OctoML resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Sales Engineers, Customer Success, Product and Marketing leaders, and Engineering) to support customer interests and understand how to advocate for the customer and balance that with the business and technical needs of OctoML.You will develop formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting activity and demonstrated wins and deployments of ML workloads in the cloud and the edge.Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years experience working at a technology company in a direct sales function.
  • 5+ years as primary lead for a global technology sales organization.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as the primary account manager of a global ML customer working with multiple business units and influencing key ML technology decisions.
  • BS or BA degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record; the ability to navigate internal and customer organizations in a trusted advisor/consultative approach; and the ability to establish credibility quickly with executives across these organizations.
  • A strong understanding of Cloud technology and business models, emphasizing technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
  • Strong familiarity with modern Machine Learning (ML) technology, particularly the most popular ML training and inference frameworks, models, and applications. Deep familiarity and enthusiasm for performance, cost, optimization of ML systems and applications.
  • Familiarity and/or direct business and/or engineering experience with software compilers and optimization concepts, the connection between Software and Hardware (HW), Operating Systems (OS), and Open Source (OOS) concepts.
