Virta Health is on a mission to transform type 2 diabetes and weight-loss care. Current treatment approaches aren’t working—over half of US adults have either type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, and obesity rates are at an all-time high. Virta is changing this by helping people reverse their metabolic condition through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery reinvented from the ground up. We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and take back their lives. Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes and obesity in one billion people.

We are adding a Salesforce Administrator to join the Commercial team at Virta. This is a foundational role that will join one other Salesforce Administrator already on staff to form a center of excellence for Salesforce administration within our Commercial organization.

Beyond building and maintaining Salesforce functionality, this role will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance leaders to analyze current go-to-market processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Configuration & Administration

  • Own day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce instance for the Commercial team.

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced workflows, automation, validation rules, approval processes, and page layouts using Salesforce Flow and other declarative tools.

  • Support and evolve integrated workflows between Salesforce and other systems (e.g., HubSpot, SalesLoft, LeanData, Slack).

  • Build and manage Slack integrations that enable real-time notifications, workflow automation, and improved collaboration across the Commercial organization.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Development’s Salesforce team to ensure scalable, secure, and aligned platform governance.

  • Partner with Sales, Enterprise Marketing (including HubSpot users), and Operations stakeholders to understand their business processes and translate them into scalable system solutions.

  • Analyze existing sales workflows and identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve pipeline visibility.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of Commercial Salesforce data through monitoring, deduplication, and maintenance routines.

  • Design and maintain advanced reporting and dashboards that provide clear insights into pipeline health, sales performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Enable Commercial teams to access and utilize real-time data through dashboards, reporting frameworks, and best practices.

Enablement & Support

  • Be the go-to resource for troubleshooting, support, and training for Commercial Salesforce users.

  • Create documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures for internal use.

  • Help teams adopt best practices for Salesforce usage, automation, and data-driven decision making.

Strategic Systems Ownership

  • Drive the roadmap for Commercial team Salesforce usage and future evolution of our GTM systems strategy with cross-functional input.

  • Operate with a builder’s mindset—taking ownership of near-term updates while recognizing the need to design the system for long-term growth.

  • Partner with Commercial leadership to evaluate sales processes and recommend system and workflow improvements that improve scalability and performance.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Gain deep familiarity with Virta’s Salesforce instance and its current Commercial workflows.

  • Establish strong working relationships with key Commercial and Product Development stakeholders.

  • Assess current-state pain points and identify opportunities to improve usability, automation, and reporting.

  • Implement at least one high-impact configuration or automation that reduces manual effort or improves data quality.

  • Begin defining a lightweight systems roadmap aligned to Commercial team priorities.

Must-Haves
  • 5–10 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator with a focus on B2B go-to-market teams.

  • Strong expertise with Salesforce Sales Cloud; additional experience with HubSpot or integrated martech tools.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce configuration including Flows, Validation Rules, Page Layouts, Custom Objects, and Slack integration.

  • Experience working at a fast-paced startup and/or growth company where rapid growth requires ongoing Salesforce evolution to support GTM strategy and workflows.

  • Ability to work autonomously and own a roadmap, balancing near-term needs across multiple teams with longer-term priorities.

  • Systems thinker who can help guide architectural design to support required downstream workflow and reporting processes.

  • AI curious and enabler to disseminate learnings with the rest of the Commercial team.

  • Skilled in translating business needs into scalable system solutions.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Admin or Platform App Builder certification a plus.

Values-driven culture

Virta’s company values drive our culture, so you’ll do well if:

  • You put people first and take care of yourself, your peers, and our patients equally

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and take initiative while empowering others to do the same

  • You prioritize positive impact over busy work

  • You have no ego and understand that everyone has something to bring to the table regardless of experience

  • You appreciate transparency and promote trust and empowerment through open access of information

  • You are evidence-based and prioritize data and science over seniority or dogma

  • You take risks and rapidly iterate

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
