About NCEM:
The mission of North Carolina Emergency Management is to enhance North Carolina’s resiliency through active collaboration, communication, and coordination of protection, prevention, mitigation, response and recovery measures.
About the Section:
The Administration Section’s focus is to provide effective and efficient support functions for the Division. These functions include Accounts Payable, Budget, Human Resources, Grants Management, Information Technology, Application Development, Salesforce, and more.
About the Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the SalesforceTeam with programming, design, system administration, platform development and related duties. This work is done using objects, workflows, Apex, validation rules and similar technologies on a Salesforce cloud platform. If selected, the candidate will be required to improve efficiencies of Division operations with the use of Information Technology and Salesforce. The candidate will be required to complete routine procedures including sprints, scrums, time reporting and others according to set schedules. They will also be required to investigate division operations, workflows, staffing, and business processes.

Salary Range: $81,504 - $122,256**This posting will close on 9/28/2026 at 11:59pm**

This position will be 100% in-person for at least the first 90 days.

DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.

The Minimum Education and Experience (E&E) is REQUIRED to qualify for this position. Management Preferences, including Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), are not required but may be used to determine the pool of most qualified applicants. Managers may also choose to interview/select applicants who demonstrate Management Preferences.

Military Experience
