The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 hr./.  The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Scope 

 

Owens & Minor is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect to join our team. This senior-level position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Salesforce solutions that align with our business objectives and technical requirements.

Responsibilities 

 

Aspects of what we need 

 

Architecture Design: 

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and developers to understand business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable Salesforce architecture 

  • Design and document Salesforce solutions, including data models, integration architectures, security models, and deployment strategies 

  • Ensure that the proposed architecture adheres to best practices, industry standards, and Salesforce guidelines 

  • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on architectural decisions 

  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems

 

Solution Implementation: 

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team during the implementation of Salesforce solutions. 

  • Oversee the implementation of complex Salesforce features, such as custom objects, Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and flows. 

  • Ensure the quality and performance of the implemented solutions through code reviews, testing, and optimization. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce with other systems and external data sources 

 

Technical Governance: 

  • Establish and maintain technical governance processes, standards, and best practices for Salesforce development and deployment 

  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements 

  • Develop and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, and deployment processes 

  • Provide guidance and training to the development team on Salesforce best practices and emerging technologies 

 

 

Performance Monitoring and Optimization: 

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce solutions, including data storage, queries, and batch processes 

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, implement caching strategies, and optimize data retrieval and processing 

  • Conduct regular health checks and audits to ensure the stability and efficiency of the Salesforce environment 

 

Project Management: 

  • Collaborate with project managers to estimate project timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks 

  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design. 

  • Relevant Salesforce certifications are preferred, such as Certified Application Architect, Certified System Architect, or Certified Technical Architect 

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce platform components, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, App Cloud, and Platform Developer tools 

  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce development technologies 

  • Experience with integration technologies such as APIs, web services, and middleware solutions 

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data security principles 

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams 

  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams

Deep understanding of the following Salesforce areas would be a plus 

 

Salesforce Cloud experience: 

 

  • Marketing Cloud 

  • Pardot 

  • Commerce Cloud 

  • Order Management Solution (OMS)
