Lead the design and implementation of SAP data integration and analytic solutions, collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior team members.
We are seeking an experienced and driven SAP Business Data Cloud Lead Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading the design and implementation of SAP data integration and analytic solutions with a strong focus in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud. Technical depth in SAP's data fabric with a strong understanding of business needs across finance, operations, and analytics is a must.
Key Responsibilities- Work either individually or alongside developers to design and implement SAP solutions that meet business requirements, follow SAP best practices, and enrich the user experience.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define/understand reporting, analytics, and planning requirements and translate them into scalable data models and pipelines.
- Communicate effectively within the project team ensuring clarity and understanding of project details.
- Develop and manage remote tables, views, and data models using SAP Datasphere.
- Integrate SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW and third-party cloud/on-premise sources.
- Experience in creating and customizing CDS Views.
- Support the creation of analytical models that enable business-friendly access to complex datasets for SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Optimize data transformation processes using data flow logic, SQL scripting, and performance tuning.
- Utilize an Agile Framework throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay current with SAP BTP and Business Data Cloud innovations and assess their applicability to client landscapes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with SAP Analytical platform tools, with strong expertise in data modeling, integration, tuning, and access control.
- Strong knowledge of SAP data structures, modules, and processes (FI, PP, SD, MM, etc.)
- Experience in data integration from SAP and non-SAP sources using SDI/ODI, OData, JDBC, and flat files.
- Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data fabric design, and business semantic layer concepts.
- Proficiency with SQL scripting
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in agile or hybrid project environments to fast-track rollouts
