Job Description

SDET – Automation test with C#, .Net and JavaScript experience

Seattle, WA – Local candidates only – in-person interview required

 6 months

Required (Must have)
-Automation testing with .Net or C# experience
- Scripting language, JavaScript


Developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation processes, practices, and controls in support of application and system requirement, development and test activities throughout the software development and sustainment lifecycles. Leads and consults on test automation strategy, requirement, design, implementation and execution. 4-6 years

The role should work with technical product managers to ensure comprehensiveness of technical requirements; work within the development team to define end-to-end testing methodology and perform the actual tests; write automated testing scripts and the creation of the appropriate test environment; and produce test reports. The role also performs tier 3 support for triage incoming bugs. Mentors other software development engineers in test and provides direction on the development and implementation of test automation processes, methods and tools.

What does a typical work day entail? What are the daily tasks/responsibilities/deliverables?
*Creation and maintenance of appropriate test environment.
*Review and provide feedback for technical requirements for comprehensiveness.
*Create testing case documents and define testing methodology.
*Working directly with developers, project management, product management, and infrastructure to define test phase activities in the development and delivery lifecycle.
*Supports, and assists software development engineers in test, testers, and hardware development efforts as needed in the development, maintenance, and execution of manual and automated test scripts, reproduction and analysis of discovered bugs, and ensuring adherence to defined coding standards and technical / user requirements.
* Manage test resources and activities across multiple project and product deliverables.
*Serve as tier 3 triage lead of incoming bugs.
*Produce regular bug / error log / tier 3 escalation reports.

Summary of Experience
- Experience working in multiple languages and multiple tools. C# / Java / Windows / Linux
- Experience working with various web technologies. REST, javascript, Angular, SSO, HMAC
- Work experience in software application development and testing, creation of automated scrips, and leadership of end-to-end testing deliverables.
- Experience instituting test management processes, methods, and tools supporting functional and non-functional test automation, load and performance, volume and stress testing
- Test automation design and implementation experience with programming languages and script development, as well as experience designing, developing and implementing test automation strategies, approaches and frameworks

- Demonstrated leadership brilliance, intellectual curiosity and operational excellence
- Outstanding organization and planning skills, and strong attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of test management processes and technical skills, including an understanding of manual and automated test execution and performance related tools for both software and hardware
- Exceptional proficiency in programming languages with demonstrated technical skills including an understanding of automated test script execution and related tools
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage and delegate numerous concurrent projects
- Ability to research and recommend new and enhancements to processes and tools
