Position Overview

Allied Global Marketing is seeking an innovative and experienced Search Optimization Specialist to join our Technology team. This role combines deep hands-on expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and App Store Optimization (ASO) with strategic oversight of AI-driven workflows and tools.

As a senior individual contributor in a fast-paced agency environment, you’ll optimize web and app ecosystems across a range of clients and industries—leading technical SEO audits and implementations, driving ASO growth strategies, and actively integrating AI tools to scale and evolve our optimization practices.

We will be prioritizing candidates who are based on the East Coast as this role will need to work across US and UK time zones.

Who You Are

You’re a hands-on optimizer fluent in the evolving languages of search whether it’s metadata, structured data, or machine-generated copy. You thrive in technical detail but think like a strategist, always aligning optimizations with performance goals. You’re curious about AI not just as a tool, but as a transformation—ready to experiment, implement, and iterate in real-time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement technical SEO projects, including:
    • Technical site audits and on-page improvements
    • Schema markup and structured data development
    • Log file analysis and crawl budget optimization
  • Drive ASO strategies to improve visibility and conversion in the Apple App Store, Google Play, and other app marketplaces.
  • Translate complex SEO/ASO findings into actionable insights for client teams and stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Support strategy and account teams in client presentations, audits, and performance reviews as needed.
  • Optimize app metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords), visual assets (screenshots, previews), and manage review strategies.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis for both SEO and ASO, using AI-enhanced and traditional tools.
  • Investigate and respond to the evolving impact of LLM-based search experiences (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) on discoverability, brand presence, and content optimization strategies.
  • Manage and optimize AI-powered workflows for search optimization using tools such as:
    • Surfer SEO, NeuronWriter, ChatGPT (SEO)
    • AppTweak, Sensor Tower (ASO)
  • Align SEO/ASO efforts with Paid Media and Earned Media strategies to maximize holistic campaign performance and synergy across channels.
  • Manage multiple optimization projects in parallel, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project scopes and client goals.
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy, tone, and brand alignment of AI-generated content and optimization outputs.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI-powered platforms to ensure Allied remains on the cutting edge of SEO/ASO innovation.

Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in technical SEO implementation and strategy.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Schema markup and structured data
    • Technical audits, crawl management, and site architecture
    • SEO analytics and reporting (e.g., GA4, Search Console)
  • Demonstrated experience in ASO strategy and execution, including metadata optimization and competitive performance tracking.
  • Experience presenting SEO/ASO strategies and findings directly to clients, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with AI-driven SEO and ASO tools (e.g., Surfer SEO, NeuronWriter, AppTweak, Sensor Tower, ChatGPT).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentation.
  • Passion for testing and integrating AI into search optimization workflows.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote-first team, primarily on US East Coast hours.

Details:
  • Benefits: This position will be eligible to participate in the standard benefits offered to full-time employees of Allied Global Marketing (medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability and life insurance as well as 401k and Flexible PTO). In addition, we offer 10 company paid holidays.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
