About the Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in a motivated yet easygoing startup culture. This role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and helping scale financial processes as the company grows.
What You'll Do:
- Manage daily accounting operations including vendor bills and payments, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, various general ledger maintenance, and monitoring the financials
- Assist with transition to new invoicing software and oversee ongoing month-end invoicing process
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports and support internal reporting needs
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Work cross-functionally with other departments, including sales and engineering, as needed
- Support annual external audits and tax preparation with accurate documentation and reporting
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting role (startup/SaaS experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, communication, ability to meet deadlines, and a self-starter attitude
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
