  • Lead process improvements and help implement scalable systems as we grow

  • Partner with internal teams (including FP&A and People Ops) on reporting and compliance

  • Support audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements

  • Help shape accounting operations and internal controls across a complex entity structure

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with team members

  • Report directly to our VP of Finance

What We Value (Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including time at a Big 4 or top-tier firm (BDO, Grant Thornton, etc.)

  • CPA certification

  • Industry experience in addition to public accounting

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills

  • Excellent communicator who can collaborate across departments in a flat, fast-moving org

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries

  • Familiarity with multi-entity consolidation

  • FP&A or finance operations exposure

  • Discretionary time off — take the time you need, when you need it

  • Opportunity for rapid career progression

  • 3 months of paid parental leave, plus a flexible return-to-work policy (after 12 months of employment)

  • Equinox membership, Monthly MetroCard, and Annual Citi Bike coverage for NYC office employees

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
