Our industry recognized Adobe engineering team is seeking a Senior AEM Back-End Developer with the expertise and passion to deliver exceptional results. This role goes beyond standard AEM work and we’re looking for someone driven to be part of the best in the industry.
As a Senior AEM Back-End Developer, you will lead custom platform development for enterprise-level clients, guiding projects through the entire software development life cycle. You will address complex technical challenges, design innovative solutions, and ensure successful project delivery in a distributed, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly skilled, and committed to delivering excellence while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead development for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, understanding the entire software development process from design to deployment to maintenance
- Actively participate in client meetings, tailoring communications professionally and effectively to fit the audience
- Work with minimal supervision, provide oversight for assigned projects, and deliver results without micromanagement
- Work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
- Provide constructive feedback in code reviews and help team members improve their skills
- Prepare and produce releases of software components
- Support continuous improvement by researching and implementing new alternatives and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/MS degree, bootcamp graduate, or equivalent self-education
- 5+ years of professional hands-on AEM development experience
- Built sites using AEM Cloud Service or AEM 6.5
- Proficiency with AEM, Java, Sling
- Solid understanding of systems design, caching, and persistence
- Strong communication, problem solving, and consulting skills
- Familiarity with modern programming architecture
- Worked with Agile development, preferably SCRUM, and Unit Testing
