Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior AI Developer to be part of making that happen.

About the role

The Senior AI Developer will design, build, and deploy agentic workflows and machine learning / Generative AI models within Arctic Wolf Labs. This role focuses on developing scalable systems that collate security operations process data, train and fine-tune AI models, and measure quality of output to support threat detection, investigation, and response. You will implement solutions that integrate operations process data with knowledge graphs and agentic workflows, enabling structured reasoning and automation in security operations. You will collaborate with security operations analysts, data scientists, platform engineers, and threat researchers to deliver production-grade solutions that enhance Arctic Wolf's mission to end cyber risk.

As a Senior AI Developer at Arctic Wolf, you will:

  • Design and implement agentic workflows and fine-tuned models for the automation of security operations processes.

  • Build and maintain ML and data pipelines for the training and deployment of fine-tuned generative AI and machine learning models.

  • Develop systems to unify and correlate data across heterogeneous sources using rule-based, probabilistic, and ML-based approaches.

  • Work with security operations and other teams to measure, monitor, and evaluate AI quality and iteratively improve.

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of ML/AI principles and practices to resolve a wide range of technical challenges in creative ways.

  • Work independently on problems of diverse scope, devising solutions based on analysis of information and adapting existing approaches to resolve issues.

  • Mentor more junior team members on ML/AI best practices and development patterns.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in machine learning, knowledge graphs, and agentic AI.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of experience building intelligent systems, distributed platforms, or AI-enhanced applications.

  • Demonstrated expertise in production delivery of Generative AI or machine learning systems.

  • Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., AgentCore, Amazon Bedrock, LangChain) and LLM integration.

  • Experience training and tuning AI models, including quality measurement and evaluation (e.g., LLM-as-judge).

  • Familiarity with knowledge graph technologies (e.g., Neptune, Neo4j, RDF/SPARQL, GraphQL).

  • Familiarity with cloud-native data services (AWS preferred) and data engineering tools (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Databricks).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps principles.

  • Exposure to cybersecurity concepts: threat detection, MITRE ATT&CK, telemetry, and adversarial behavior modeling.

  • Passion for building intelligent systems that solve real-world security challenges.

On-Camera Policy
To support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews. Being on camera fosters authentic connection, improves communication, and allows for full engagement from both candidates and interviewers. We understand that technical, bandwidth, or location-related challenges may occasionally prevent video use. If this applies, candidates are required to notify us in advance so we can explore appropriate accommodations.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
