The Global People Analytics (GPA) Team, the Dashboards and Analytics Tools Principal Analyst position will lead design, development and maintenance of workforce dashboards, both Tableau and Power BI.  The role also has responsibility for optimization of backend databases and data integrations that support the aggregation and dissemination of key HR data across the enterprise. The principal analyst will also support and design solutions to responsibly maintain security groups providing access to sensitive workforce data.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and support the build, enhancement and refresh of Tableau dashboards related to workforce trends and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Lead the build and development of power BI dashboards where required for different projects.

  • Analyze trends and leverage expertise in data visualization to build dashboard visuals that facilitate quick and easy interpretation of the data and identification of key insights.

  • Merge/join large datasets and clean/restructure data coming from multiple systems

  • Provide quality assurance on all data and metric integrity and consistency across all dashboards

  • Maintain training and dashboard support materials for end-users

  • Manage and troubleshoot maintenance and optimization of tables/views within our different data warehouses (Oracle, SSMS, Snowflake, S3)

  • Optimize SQL queries to improve readability and speed.

  • Support and monitor data integrations (EDP, Dovetail, Kronos)

  • Continuously improve understanding of best practices for our data warehouses and potential solutions for future implementations and identify process improvements to implement changes

  • Leverage existing tables to create alternate queries for ad hoc requests.

  • Communicate with relevant teams to remedy data integrity issues.

  • Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual & ad-hoc reporting and analytics processes as necessary

  • Support management of security / AD user groups for Dashboard Access

  • Ensure all data privacy and information security requirements are upheld.  Determine when requests will need to be escalated for approval and facilitate the approval process 

  • Regularly communicate progress and issues to the dashboards and analytics tools leadership team

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business, data analytics and visualization, computer science or related discipline

  • 5+ years of working experience with HR and compensation data and People Analytics with a strong understanding of key workforce metrics and how and where to apply them

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Tableau prep and Tableau with experience of developing and publishing dashboards

  • Experience with data warehouse solutions and database management systems

  • Preferred experience with Workday, Python, Power BI and DAX

  • Proven experience in managing stakeholders through dashboard design, launch and maintenance.

  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to use data, analytics, and business knowledge to present effective visualizations
