Rohlik is fundamentally data-driven. We are seeking a forward-thinking Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst to act as a strategic partner for our core functional teams (Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) and local management. This role moves beyond traditional reporting; you will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights, proactively identifying opportunities to automate data pipelines and analytical workflows, and exploring and leveraging emerging technologies like AI and LLMs to enhance decision-making and drive efficiency. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, ETL/Data Engineering teams, and potentially Data Scientists to unlock new value from our data and shape the future of analytics at Rohlik.

Role Overview

This isn’t your typical reporting role. As a Senior BI & Analytics Partner, you’ll act as a strategic thought partner for our key business teams — Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance — as well as local management. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of analytics at Rohlik, driving innovation, automation, and the use of emerging technologies like AI and LLMs.

As a technical leader, you’ll transform complex data into clear, actionable insights, elevate the capabilities of our analytics team, and influence decisions at the highest level. You’ll set new standards for analytical excellence, mentor others, and help redefine how data drives our business.

What You’ll Deliver

Lead:

  • The design and development of complex, scalable BI solutions and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Metabase) that act as a single source of truth for key business areas.

  • The mentorship of analysts, promoting best practices in analytics, automation, and cutting-edge technologies.

  • The evaluation, prototyping, and implementation of AI/LLM solutions to enhance analytics and decision-making.

Own:

  • The strategic partnership with senior business leaders — turning ambiguous problems into structured, data-driven solutions.

  • The end-to-end analysis of data workflows to uncover and drive opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Partner with:

  • Data Engineering and Data Science teams to influence the evolution of data pipelines and models for analytical excellence.

Support:

  • Marketing/CRM with advanced analytics, including campaign performance, predictive segmentation, and web analytics.

  • Major cross-functional projects, providing expert analytical and automation guidance.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Experience: 6+ years in BI/Data Analysis, with a proven track record of translating complex business needs into impactful, data-driven solutions.

  • SQL: Expert-level proficiency in writing complex and efficient queries, with solid experience in data modeling.

  • BI Tools: Deep hands-on experience building scalable BI architectures and dashboards in Tableau, Metabase, or similar.

  • Python: Practical experience using Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy) or automation scripting.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of e-commerce or retail dynamics and the ability to influence senior leaders with insights.

  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent stakeholder management and mentoring skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Problem-Solving: A creative and pragmatic approach to tackling undefined challenges and exploring emerging tech for innovative solutions.

Preferred

  • Automation Mindset: Proven ability to identify and implement data workflow automations.

  • AI/ML Aptitude: Hands-on experience applying AI and LLMs to real-world business use cases.

  • Data Governance: Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
