About Velixus Labs

Velixus Labs is building the next generation of AI, blockchain, and Web3 infrastructure. We help organizations leverage decentralized technologies to create more secure, transparent, and intelligent digital products.

We're a team of builders who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and turning ambitious ideas into production systems used by real people.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Blockchain Developer to help architect and build the blockchain products that power our clients' and partners' ecosystems.

You'll work closely with product leaders, designers, and engineers to develop smart contracts, decentralized applications, and blockchain infrastructure that are secure, scalable, and ready for production.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys writing code, making architectural decisions, and taking ownership of products from concept to deployment.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop smart contracts and blockchain-based applications.
  • Build backend services and integrations that interact with blockchain networks.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and help shape technical direction.
  • Review code, improve engineering standards, and contribute to security best practices.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to turn ideas into working products.
  • Identify performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the stack.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
  • Stay current with developments across blockchain, Web3, and decentralized infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems.
  • Professional experience developing blockchain applications or smart contracts.
  • Deep understanding of Ethereum, EVM-based networks, or similar blockchain ecosystems.
  • Experience with Solidity and modern Web3 development tools.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions and work independently.
  • A practical approach to building secure, maintainable software.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building DeFi, tokenization, wallet, NFT, or infrastructure products.
  • Familiarity with Layer 2 networks or cross-chain technologies.
  • Experience working in startups or fast-moving product teams.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the blockchain community.

Compensation

We believe exceptional engineers should be rewarded for the value they create.

Annual base salary: $180,000 – $230,000 USD

Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, location, and overall impact. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive performance-based bonuses, equity participation, or token incentives where applicable.

Exceptional candidates may be considered above the stated range.

Benefits & Perks

  • Remote-first flexibility and flexible working hours.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Annual learning and development budget.
  • Company-provided equipment and home office support.
  • Flexible paid time off policy.
  • Career growth opportunities in a rapidly evolving industry.

How to Apply

Send your resume, GitHub profile (if available), and a brief summary of blockchain projects you've worked on to:

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
