Job Summary:

SmithRx is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join our marketing team and take the lead on our visual identity across all channels. The immediate focus is on brand and asset design—elevating our existing visual system, refining existing brand guidelines, and producing high-quality marketing collateral. At the same time, we’re accelerating work on web design and UI/UX, so this role will quickly expand into shaping digital experiences as well.

We’re a lean, fast-moving team, so you’ll need to be independent, proactive, and comfortable managing contractors and agencies to deliver exceptional work at scale.

We have a strong foundation in place—including a thoughtful design system and core brand assets—and we're looking for someone who can elevate and extend that system as we grow across more marketing channels and digital surfaces.

In order to be eligible for this position applicants must be based in one of the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.

What you will do:

Brand & Graphic Design (Immediate Focus)

  • Own and evolve SmithRx’s visual identity, including color palette, typography, and imagery
  • Refine and expand our brand guidelines to support consistency across teams and channels
  • Design high-quality marketing assets across formats:
    • Campaign creative (digital and print)
    • Sales and event collateral
    • Social media graphics
    • Email templates and visuals
    • Internal decks and presentations
    • Build and maintain a library of reusable design components and templates
    • Ensure design quality, brand alignment, and visual polish across all deliverables

Web & UI/UX Design (Near-Term Expansion)

  • Lead the visual design of new web pages, site components, and digital tools
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs that align with both brand and user needs
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement and QA designs
  • Contribute to user research, journey mapping, and usability testing as we scale our digital footprint
  • Uphold a cohesive design language across all digital touchpoints

Creative Project Leadership

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and content teams to bring ideas to life
  • Manage external contractors, freelancers, and agencies when needed—setting direction, reviewing work, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Help shape creative processes and improve workflows within a lean, high-output team

What you will bring to SmithRx:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand design, web design, UI/UX design, and graphic design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design skills and projects.
  • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS and web design best practices is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality designs.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution within a lean team environment.
