Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Specialist - Commercial Modifications (Level 5) to lead further development on our Cabin, Modifications and Maintenance (CM&M) team. CM&M provides aftermarket modifications and services to customers, allowing them to upgrade the avionics, interiors, systems, or other functions of their in-service fleet. This role will initially specialize in the development and offering low earth orbit connectivity, but may expand to additional product and service offerings in the future in Seattle, WA or Long Beach, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Business development, technical, project management, and commercial strategy expertise in the aircraft connectivity space.
  • Additional projects in modification development and certification, proposal development, regulatory offerings, airline and lessor operations, aircraft and airline economics, partnering, and/or related fields
  • Working across integrated functional teams and business units to develop and execute new product and service development plans
  • Identifying and validating unaddressed commercial opportunities
  • Defining commercial strategy to address underserved customer needs
  • Developing quantitative business cases
  • Cultivating customer relationships
  • Securing internal and external senior leadership agreement
  • Driving implementation plans required to bring new products and solutions to market on time and on budget

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 5+ years of experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders
  • Previous experience with aircraft connectivity

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Master's degree
  • Technical degree or extensive experience working on technical teams
  • Previous experience with aftermarket modification space
  • Previous experience in a role demonstrating business acumen, such as developing business cases, working with finance, or crafting partnerships
  • 5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: 173,400 - 234,600
