The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer addresses Health Equity and social determinants of health (SDOH) using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications, and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present the Health Equity and Social Impact team’s data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. 

As part of the Health Equity and Social Impact (HESI) team, the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining action inspiring data products utilizing a variety of data tools including but not limited to SQL, SAS, Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA), Databricks, and/or Power BI
  • Supporting business partners with health equity and social needs data gathering and analysis
  • Presenting data products to internal and external business partners

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of technical experience in data analysis 
  • Experience with Power BI for creating data visualizations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
  • Proficiency in understanding healthcare related data
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on eliminating health disparities and improving the member/patient experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Advanced in SQL, SAS, and other data systems
  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$89,000 - $121,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
