The Job

The Senior Certification Program Manager designs and builds certification programs, develops learning content, and implements the platforms and processes that enable partners and dealers to succeed with Tekion products. This is primarily a builder role — you will be creating net-new programs across 3–5 certification tracks serving a learner population of 2,000–5,000 partners and dealer personnel. You will work autonomously across a complex ecosystem of platforms, stakeholders, and product domains.

This role partners closely with Professional Services, Product Management, and implementation teams. If you thrive on building things from scratch, can ramp quickly on new platforms, and know how to assess complex skills and knowledge — this role is for you.

  • Reports To: Manager, Services Enablement Learning
  • Internal Title: Senior Services Enablement Learning Analyst
  • Role Level: Senior Individual Contributor
  • Expected Independence: Works autonomously with minimal supervision

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Certification Program Ownership
The Senior Certification Program Manager is the owner of the Tekion Certified credential program, owning tracks end-to-end and contributing to others across product platforms and business lines.

  • Design and develop item banks and question sets with appropriate difficulty distribution, Bloom’s taxonomy alignment, and coverage across learning objectives
  • Configure and manage certification and LMS platforms (Caveon Scorpion, SkillJar) including project setup, form building, delivery settings, and reusable templates following documented SOPs
  • Lead cut score and psychometric processes including Angoff method facilitation and SME panel coordination
  • Maintain and evolve certification content as products change, coordinating with product and cross-functional teams when releases require updates
  • Develop certification program policies, candidate communications, and operational procedures
  • Own certification reporting across SkillJar and Caveon, ensuring program health data reaches the right stakeholder audience
  • Create and maintain comprehensive SOPs and documentation for all certification processes, enabling independent execution by others
  • Troubleshoot platform issues independently before escalating

2. Learning Measurement & Analytics
The Senior Certification Program Manager works across multiple data sources to track program health, surface insights, and support a reporting function that is still maturing. You will contribute to defining what gets measured, not just reporting on metrics handed down.

  • Track and report on certification program health, exam results and pass rates, and various evolving dashboards
  • Tailor reporting for multiple audiences — operational summaries for team and PS leads, program-level views for leadership
  • Help establish reporting standards and data hygiene practices as the program scales
  • Use data to identify content gaps, at-risk learner populations, and program improvement opportunities

3. Needs Assessment & Program Planning
Certification needs emerge from product evolution, partner readiness gaps, implementation outcomes, and organizational priorities. This role executes against defined roadmap priorities while proactively identifying gaps that affect partner competency and program credibility.

  • Identify certification gaps through ongoing engagement with partner, implementation, and product teams, and dealer feedback channels
  • Translate product releases into certification content updates, exam revisions, or net-new credential development, coordinating with Product Management and Product Marketing as needed
  • Build and formalize a certification needs assessment process — including intake cadence, stakeholder alignment, and prioritization frameworks
  • Prioritize certification development based on implementation impact, partner readiness, and organizational objectives

4. Team Enablement & Training

  • Deliver formal training sessions to internal teams on platforms, processes, and tools
  • Provide coaching support to team members to ensure consistency of learner skills and knowledge
  • Adapt training delivery to audience needs and skill levels

Required Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing certification exams and programs
  • Hands-on experience with LMS platforms and certification development and delivery platforms; SkillJar, Caveon and Scorpion proficiency a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data management and reporting workflows
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted content development workflows
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Experience coordinating with SMEs and stakeholders across multiple departments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with learning analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Background in SaaS or enterprise software certification programs (e.g. Salesforce, Workday, or similar); automotive industry experience a plus
