Your Team
The Business Strategy & Development team is a fully integrated team of Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs) and Product Managers, created to support and service of our investment capabilities across diversified channels and regions. The team’s purpose is to maximize franchise value through best-in-class product positioning, leading as client advocates, and implementing business plans to drive organic growth, profitability, and asset retention.
Your Role
The Senior Client Portfolio Manager will serve as a key representative for the firm’s investment strategies, focusing on institutional prospects in the global credit market, with a particular emphasis on U.S. Investment Grade Credit. This role requires deep expertise in fixed income markets, strong client relationship management skills, and the ability to communicate complex investment strategies effectively. The individual will work closely with global sales and distribution teams, acting as a subject matter expert to support prospect identification and deal closure. The role requires 20-50% travel to attend industry conferences, meet with engage with prospective clients and internal teams.
You Will Be Responsible For:

Strategic Partnership with Sales & Distribution Teams

  • Collaborate with global sales and distribution teams to identify and engage prospective institutional investors.

  • Provide expert insights on U.S. Investment Grade Credit, market trends, and portfolio positioning to support sales efforts.

  • Develop compelling investment narratives and presentations to facilitate successful client acquisition.

Market & Industry Analysis

  • Stay ahead of macroeconomic trends, credit market developments, and regulatory changes impacting investment-grade credit.

  • Provide thought leadership through white papers, webinars, and industry conferences to enhance the firm’s market presence.

Business Development & Growth

  • Support the firm’s asset growth by equipping sales teams with the necessary investment expertise to attract new institutional investors.

  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to develop tailored investment solutions and materials.

Prospect Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional prospects, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, and insurance companies.

  • Conduct investment reviews, market updates, and investment presentations tailored to client needs.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants and investment committees.

·  Leadership, Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for global credit professionals, offering strategic guidance and investment expertise.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance aligned with firm-wide leadership framework, investment strategies and client engagement best practices.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

The Experience You Bring:

  • 15+ years of experience in fixed income portfolio management, credit research, or institutional client management.

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. Investment Grade Credit markets, including corporate bonds, structured credit, and relative value strategies

  • Proven leadership experience

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into sales-driven discussions.

  • Strong investment acumen with a deep understanding of financial markets.    Proficiency with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office.

  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business, finance, or a related discipline.

  • MBA/CFA preferred.

  • Series 7 and 24 required.

  • Travel Expectation: 20-50% travel required for prospect engagement, industry conferences, and internal meetings.
