The Opportunity:


As a Senior Client Tax Accountant, you will work to oversee the execution and delivery of tax related work to Fisher Investments US PCG Clients. Working in close collaboration with the Financial Planning Services group, you will provide and supervise tax planning consultation, tax prep, tax filing, and tax compliance to Private Clients. The Senior Client Tax Accountant plays an important role in delivering comprehensive white glove service to the Client, including in-person and virtual consultations, carefully coordinated with Investment Counselors and other client-facing employees and teams.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Consult with High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients on end-to-end tax needs
  • Lead the preparation of tax returns, schedules, payments, reports and other deliverables or collateral as needed
  • Review federal, state, and local individual income tax returns and related filings, including Forms 1040, and provide written and verbal feedback to staff
  • Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
  • Work directly with HNW clients and Investment Counselors to gather any information or documents needed to prepare tax returns
  • Meet with HNW clients to complete intake, advise on tax strategies and holistic tax planning, and provide tax advice within approved frameworks
  • Identify and create tax strategies to minimize taxation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
  • Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work
  • Schedule and manage workload of Client Tax Accountants
  • Review work prepared by Client Tax Accountants and provide timely, constructive review feedback.
  • Train tax employees on how to use all current relevant software and technology

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 7+ years of direct tax experience preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant designation or equivalent required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Proficient in tax preparation software, CCH Axcess preferred

Compensation:


  • $115,000 - $155,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
